Introducing Our Managing Director, Paul Dyson
Almost three decades ago, our managing director, Paul Dyson, founded Paul Dyson Commercial Floor Care. In this blog post, we will find out more about Paul, the face and name behind the business. We will look at his role in the company and his journey, one tile at a time. In that time, he has had the pleasure of seeing the company, its service offerings, and his team grow.
How long have you been working at Paul Dyson Commercial Floor Care?
Well, 2023 marks 28 years of service for Paul Dyson Commercial Floor Care. I am very proud of the advancements we have made over the years – I honestly couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Over the years, we have developed a strong position in the market and take advantage of opportunities that will improve the level of services we deliver to customers. This includes training and qualifications in all aspects of floor care working in the UK, Ireland and Europe across a range of different projects.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
I am responsible for the day-to-day running of all of the North East operations. This includes developing strategies and policies, as well as communicating with customers and the team to ensure we continue to deliver impeccable customer services to all.
But, honestly, there is no typical day here at Paul Dyson Commercial Floor Care, and that’s what I love about what I do.
If you had to choose one carpet/floor cleaning service, what would be your favourite to deliver and why?
I can honestly say I enjoy carrying out all of the services that we offer, and I am not just saying that. I am very proud of how we have grown and developed offering a range of commercial and residential services across the North East.
But…if I did have to choose just one service, I think it would have to be large commercial carpet maintenance projects. Our services transform professional carpets in a range of sectors – including hospitality and entertainment venues including care homes, restaurants, and cinemas.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I really enjoy spending time on my motorbike. Whether that be riding, cleaning or detailing. I like to be out and about in my spare time. I also like to go on walks and explore nature.
We know all of that cleaning is thirsty work, so the most important question of all… tea or coffee?
Can I say both?
I really enjoy a cup of tea in the morning, but I do like a coffee later in the day as a bit of pick me up so yeah, I think I would have to say both!
