Case study: Domestic pool restoration
Project overview:
Our team were contacted to restore a domestic swimming pool to its former glory after the ceiling above caved in.
The ceiling in this property came down and caused significant damage to the entire room below. This left the pool covered in debris and dust, as well as damage surrounding it.
The challenge:
A collapsed ceiling meant several trades were working above the pool to rebuild the ceiling. This was a big task, and our specialists needed to ensure that we could work efficiently, without causing interruption.
The solution:
We used a specialist range of tools to ensure the pool was treated to the highest standard. Our team carried out this work over the course of three days to ensure exceptional results.
To complete the project, we used the following chemical solutions:
- Acids
- Strippers
- Solvents
- Oxidisers
There was a lot of expanding foam residue, plaster, paint, and live growth, so this mixture ensured the pool was brought up to standard for use. We had to ensure careful use of the acid as the surrounding limestone tiles could have been easily etched by any overspill.
We then finished off with an anti-slip treatment for extra protection.
The result:
The swimming pool is now looking beautiful and back to its original form. The use of our specialist tools and expert team has resulted in a clean, fully sealed, fit-for-purpose pool.
With its new anti-slip treatment, the customer can enjoy the pool for many years to come.
