Receiving a booking from The Hoskins is the norm for us at Paul Dyson, and we still enjoy the challenge of a deep-clean treatment on their carpets. They’ve been a client of ours for almost 20 years, and we undertake regular cleans at the pub around 4 times a year.

Flexible working
Our job had to be scheduled out of hours to avoid disrupting the hustle and bustle of the pub, so we had to plan our time effectively. Thankfully the flexible nature of our business meant that was no problem for us at all!
Due to the pub’s large footfall, the carpet had seen better days and was quite heavily soiled with alcohol. Chewing gum also had to be removed, so we came up with a deep-clean battle plan to conquer this challenge.
Grime doesn’t pay!
To begin with, we preconditioned the carpet and began the agitation process using our top-of-the-line cleaning products. This action helped bring out any dirt or grime that had been ground into the carpet over months of drinking, dancing and socialising. It also helps refresh the carpet without using any tougher chemicals that could damage the fibres, giving it a longer lifespan.
After this deep-clean agitation, we rinsed the carpet and extracted the flushed-out remnants of a good night out. For the chewing gum, we used a citrus gel to loosen it and make it easier to remove. We pride ourselves on using the best products for our clients, so the gum was rinsed away with ease.
With the carpets cleaned and dried, we called ‘time’ on the job well before the first customers started to arrive and enjoy the pub’s cosy atmosphere – a job well done!
